In March 2019, a tragedy occurred in Christchurch, New Zealand. A mass shooting at a local mosque killed 49 people. My ship at that time docked in Akaroa which is about one hour drive to Christchurch. My friend Eric and I went to visit this memorial at Christchurch Botanic Garden.
